The Tadiandamol peak is the second highest in Karnataka. This place is an active location for trekkers. The surrounding regions offer plenty of scenic delights. Located in the Western Ghats, the Tadiandamol peak is 35 km from Madikere. Climbing to the top of the peak is considered difficult but is possible and has been done many times before.

Trekking on the Brahmagiri Hill is trekking at an altitude of more than 1600 metres. This range is situated in the Western Ghats. Located at the border between the Indian states of Karnataka and Kerala, this place is 270 km from Bangalore. The best way to reach this trekking region is through Coorg. From Coorg, the Brahmagiri Hill trekking range is just 60 km.

A rising gem of the Bramhagiri Range in the Western Ghats, NishaniMotte is one of the offbeat treks in Karnataka in the Coorg District. 9. Nagarhole Ntional Park 

Also known as the Rajiv Gandhi National Park, this is a famous wildlife sanctuary located in Coorg. A Tiger Reserve, the Nagarhole National Park is also a place to see wild elephants. Apart from tigers and elephants, this national park is home to wild dogs, gaur and deer. The park is essentially a dense tropical forest. Through the jungle, there are streams that run through. The spots in and around these streams have wildlife activity.

13. Mallali Falls

Located at the base of Pushpagiri Hill Ranges, Mallalli Falls are an exuberant place. This is the location where the Kumaradhara River takes a steep plunge. The falls descend for over 200 feet making it a tall waterfall. This is yet again one of those beautiful sights of waters forcing down and thrashing against rocks and boulders. The sight is exhilarating. The constant sound of thrashing water reverberates in your mind.

The Abbi or Abbey falls is one of the most scenic waterfalls in this part of the world. This cascade is located amongst lush coffee plantations. You have to travel 10 km from Madikere to get here. 15. Irupu Falls

A magnificent waterfall in Coorg, Iruppu Falls also has religious connotations amongst places to visit in Coorg. The cascade is located in the Brahmagiri hill range. As per the Hindus, Lord Rama and his brother Lakshmana passed by this region. They were in search for Lord Rama’s wife Sita. Lord Rama was thirsty and was looking for water. Lakshamana shot an arrow that struck the ground and oozed the river water. Hence, this river was discovered. It is this river that creates the Iruppu Falls by descending down a 60 metre slope

The Chelavara Falls is known to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls in this region. Also known as Embepare, the sight of the cascading water amidst the verdant coffee plantations is a sight to behold. The Chomakund hill is located a couple of kilometres from these falls. Atop this hill, you get an eagle’s eye view of the plains beneath. The hill is foggy at most times. You can even see the Arabian Sea from this hill.
